If that last name looks familiar, that’s because Miles is my nephew. He’s the second of 17 nieces and nephews whose senior portraits I’ll be doing over the next 18 or so years. Miles is a laid back kid with a silly attitude and fun ideas. We had a lot of fun on his session and got to shoot in some unique locations—we even got to incorporate his car and crazy builder idea with some friends. I love doing these kinds of fun senior sessions!
Ryan is my Cary-Grove senior model and it’s crazy how much we think alike. As we chose locations for his portraits we both had the same ideas for places to stop and shots to get. Gotta love it when your tastes match—it makes it easy to work together to create fun and unique senior portraits that we both like! We shot in downtown Crystal Lake, the Dole Mansion and wrapped up with a few shots at Crystal Lake Main Beach.
Our session was easy-going and fun and we ended up with more great portraits than we knew what to do with. But that’s not a bad problem to have 🙂

I met Phil while doing a family portrait session with his family. Phil is a bright guy with a great attitude and personality. He plays football at Woodstock High School, but he’s not your stereotypical pompous jock. He was a pleasure to shoot with and I look forward to his second session in the spring.
We did Phil’s first session near the Woodstock square. It was first session for Phil (models get a second full 2-hour session once they refer another senior) and he did great.
