First time shooting in downtown Richmond and what a shoot it was! Noah did great posing and trusting me with my ideas. We even got to talk shop about graphic design and photography throughout his senior session—he’s got an interest and is currently working with Photoshop. We had a great time and nabbed some great masculine urban portraits just before sundown. Not bad for a one-hour, one-outfit session. I’m looking forward to more shoots in Richmond!
Often, guys are hesitant to get their senior portraits made. Maybe they’re just apathetic. Many times they do it just so mom will stop asking. Michael wasn’t super excited to do his portraits either, but he humored us and even ended up managing to enjoy himself by the end. Over all he and his mom are both very happy with our session—and so am I. We shot on the Woodstock square and Emricson Park for two different looks and captured some genuine smiles and senior portraits worth hanging on the wall.
Anthony’s senior session almost didn’t happen. It started sprinkling a bit when we began shooting, and so we almost canceled. But it let up, I got a few shots and then the drip-drop stopped completely. We got lucky. We pressed on and the rain stayed away until the very end of our shoot.
We had a great session shooting on the Woodstock Square in some familiar spots, but we also hit a few new ones.
Anthony is the second in his family whose senior portraits I’ve had the pleasure of shooting. I also did his brother Phil’s. Both are great guys who have very little stopping them in their future endeavors.
