Growin’ Up | Aaliyah (3 months)

Meet Aaliyah. I had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful baby girl for a 3-month Growin’ Up session. What fun this session was—especially capturing her curiosity as she explored (with her hands and mouth) her mommy’s necklace. While we were shooting she kept squeaking out a high-pitched half-scream that was enough to crack anybody up! She definitely kept the mood happy. And what a cutie with those eyes! Thanks to Brian and Sarah for allowing me to capture these beautiful portraits of your little girl.

Self-Portrait Project | July 2010

This month, my self-portrait comes from a stock shoot I did. It’s a concept for volunteerism. Every year I volunteer to shoot the Out of the Darkness suicide awareness and prevention walk and feel strongly about volunteerism altogether. I could quote one of hundreds of cliches about volunteerism, but I won’t. You already know volunteering is good.

Something’s Different. And I like it.

Welcome to my new site, a combination of blog and portfolio in one. So many photographers maintain two sites: a blog and a portfolio site, and while I understand the reason for doing so, a combo site makes more sense.

From now on you’ll land here on my blog first where I’ll be posting my latest shoots and samples, but the rest of the site is right up in the navigation. You can easily get to my portfolio, find out information on booking shoots, what sessions cost, learn about me, contact me or read photo product reviews that I write.

This new site will allow me me to keep things more up-to-date and in one easy to find place. And that’s good for everyone, not just me. I hope you like it!
