180 Wear Local Fashion Shoot | Woodstock IL

A few months ago I put out a call for models for a shoot I was doing in conjunction with 180 Wear, a trendy clothing store on the Woodstock square. We were looking for local teens to model clothes from brands 180 Wear carries like Hurley, Fox, Miss Me jeans, Roxy, Affliction and many others. Our shoot was scheduled to be a causal outdoor lifestyle shoot with the models posing on the square in natural settings. But on the morning we were to shoot, it was raining.

Despite the rain doing its rain thing, we pressed on. The models met at Studio 10 Salon & Color Spa just off the Woodstock square for hairstyling and light makeup. When they were finished, we headed to 180 Wear to get changed and set up our new shooting location.

Since the outdoor lifestyle set wasn’t going to work, we setup for more of a typical clothing fashion-type shoot inside 180 Wear. Having to be indoors didn’t put a damper on our fun or images—we had a great time and made some great images for 180 Wear to use on their Facebook page and soon-to-launch website. Our local models got some fun experience in front of the camera and got to try on lots of great clothes, too!

Have a look at our local models and a sample of some of the awesome clothing 180 Wear carries. If you’re looking for a new hairstyle, cut or color, check out Studio 10, they’ve been there for 25 years and know a thing or two about it 🙂

2011 Senior Model Reps

2011 senior rep cards with models from Crystal Lake Central high school and Johnsburg high school

So my senior reps are out there, armed with their rep cards ready to hand out to anyone and everyone. Since I started my rep program significanlty later than I’d have liked, I’ve only got two reps this year. Tina from Johnsburg and Ashely from Crystal Lake Central. Both of these reps ROCKED their sessions and we made some absolutely gorgeous portraits.

So now that my reps are out there, track ’em down and get a rep card and save 10% off your own 2011 senior session. If you attend a school other than Johnsburg or Crystal Lake Central, just mention this blog post and you can still take advantage of the 10% discount.

Now this part is for current Juniors. You’re going to be 2012 seniors. I’m going to need 2012 senior model reps. You seeing where I’m going? Starting in early 2011, around March and April, I’ll be looking for my 2012 senior models. If you want to get some awesome senior portraits done for free (and who doesn’t!), you’ll want to keep an eye on my blog and Facebook page around that time. I’ll be looking for senior model reps from Crystal Lake Central high school, Crystal Lake South high school, Prairie Ridge high school, McHenry East Campus, McHenry West Campus, Huntley high school, Johnsburg high school, Alden-Hebron high school, Jacobs high school (Lake in the Hills), Richmond-Burton high school, Woodstock high school, Marian Central high school and Harvard high school.

Ashley | 2011 Senior Rep, Crystal Lake Central

Meet Ashley, my 2011 senior rep for Crystal Lake Central. She was a great model who admitted to practicing her smile in the mirror prior to shooting. And you can tell—check out that killer smile!

We started our shoot at Stern’s Woods in Crystal Lake, but didn’t spend too much time there. The mosquitoes were HORRENDOUS! Ashley was a good sport, though, and kept smiling at the right moments, despite the feast she was providing for the little buggers. Then we headed to downtown Crystal Lake and Woodstock.

These images are just a few from the initial shoot. We were limited on time so we’re going to do a second shoot with a few other outfits and looks. As you can see, we already made some beautiful senior portraits complete with the soft glow of the setting sun. Look for more soon!

And to all those Crystal Lake Central seniors who haven’t got your senior portraits done yet, find Ashley and get one of her rep cards to save 10% off your 2011 senior session!
