2012 Woodstock North Senior Rep | Meghan Jensen

2012 Senior Pictures | Woodstock Senior Portraits by Ryan Klos Photography, Woodstock, IL portrait photographer.

After nearly a month of rain and rescheduling, here’s my second 2012 senior rep, Meghan Jensen! Meghan is a 2012 senior at Woodstock North high school. We had some interesting shooting experiences including scaring—and being scared by—a mother goose who was warming her eggs on her nest. I nearly needed new underpants after that encounter, let me tell you!

The rain and chilly temps even forced us indoors for a shoot. As you can tell from my work, I don’t typically shoot seniors in the studio, but we got a few good ones out of it anyway. Our final session still wasn’t that warm, despite it being the beginning of May, but Meghan rocked the Woodstock square anyhow.

If you’re a 2012 Woodstock North senior (that means you’re currently a junior) looking for something a little spicier than the typical senior pictures, find Meghan and get a rep card (she’ll have them soon). If you book your 2012 senior session with one of her rep cards (or any other rep’s card) you can save 10% off your own senior session. Don’t wait too long, summer sessions book fast!

2011 Johnsburg High School Promenade

2011 Promenade at Johnsburg High School, photos by senior portrait photographer Ryan Klos

It’s prom season and this year I had the pleasure of shooting Promenade at Johnsburg High School. Promenade takes place at the high school just before the prom-goers get on the buses and head out for an evening of dinner and dancing. Similar to a fashion show, each couple is presented together in front of an audience of family, parents, grandparents and friends.

This year Johnsburg’s prom theme was “childhood memories,” and so they created a background to illustrate such memories. Not sure about the contrast of young adults wearing beautiful dresses and tuxes in front of a children’s themed background, but here they are—Johnsburg High School’s 2011 prom attendees!

To see all the images, jump over to my Ryan Klos Photography Facebook page (don’t forget to click LIKE!) or click on the image below. You won’t be able to tag yourself (FB doesn’t allow you to tag in business pages, only on personal pages), but you can hit the download link in the lower left. From there feel free to use these images on Facebook, but please don’t remove my logo or crop it off. If you’d like a larger size, let me now via my contact page.

Don’t forget, if you’re a senior who still needs senior portraits done I still have openings. If you’re a junior, now’s the time to book your senior session! Take a look at the senior sessions and schedule your session soon to get the best pick for dates.

Brand New | Colin

Newborn portraits of a baby boy at a week old by Ryan Klos Photography

Yay, another Brand New baby boy—welcome Colin! Colin’s mom received Brand New newborn session as a gift from her friends at work. I love it when friends give such thoughtful gifts!

With the exception of a few fussy moments (brief moments), this little guy slept like a rock the entire session. He was easy to pose and even managed to give us a few unintentional smiles—love it when that happens 🙂 I think some of my favorites from this session are the black and whites. There’s just something so timeless and classic about the way black and white photos evoke emotion.

Every time I have the pleasure of photographing a newborn I can’t help but notice how quickly my youngest is growing by comparison. Time truly flies in the first 6 months, so to all those new parents out there, enjoy these newborn moments no matter how sleep deprived you are!
