You are invited to apply to become a 2015 Senior Model for Ryan Klos Photography!

Being a 2015 Senior Model for Ryan Klos Photography means you’ll get a free senior portrait session in order to share your experience and photos with friends, family, co-workers and everyone you meet. You’ll use Facebook to share your photos, and you’ll also get personal model cards with your info to pass out (recipients receive 10% off their own session).

How will your portraits be used? As a model, your portraits will be used on my website, my senior prep guide, Facebook page and other advertising. You’ll be famous! Well, maybe not famous, but you’ll certainly get some local exposure among peers.

You agree to sign a Model Release and Senior Model Agreement (parent permission is mandatory)

2013 Woodstock North Senior Model | Becky Lindstrom

Becky learned about my model program when I was shooting the pre-prom event at Woodstock North High School. I had shown up to meet and greet students and parents, but when the photographer that had been hired to do portraits didn’t show up, the assistant principle approached me to fill in. Thankfully I brought my flash and was able to do it!

Becky’s session was a quick single location session on the Woodstock square (and in a parking lot just off the square) where we made some great portraits with the gorgeous summer light. For such a short session (maybe 40 minutes) we made some beautiful senior portraits for this 2013 Woodstock North grad!

Studio Portraits and Backdrops

If you’ve been following my work for any length of time, you know I prefer outdoor portraits over studio. But I was recently reviewing a new line of studio backdrops for Rangefinder magazine and needed to photograph people in front of the backdrops. I contacted one of my Woodstock reps and a friend of my Johnsburg reps to model and here are the results. It was kind of like shooting mini senior sessions.

As far as backdrops go, these were awesome. They’re modern and definitely cooler than your typical studio portrait backgrounds, and they accept light really well. If I were to start shooting more studio work, I’d definitely consider getting several more backdrops from this line.
