Earlier this year I had the pleasure of doing maternity portraits for Emily, and then a few months later, newborn portraits for her beautiful daughter Jemma. We made some wonderful newborn and maternity portraits to remember this excitement and tenderness of new life. Congrats Emily and Drew on the arrival of your daughter!

Meet Elliot. He joined his parents and big brother just before the new year—what a great Christmas present! It’s always fun to watch how things change in a family with the addition of a new little brother or sister. So far, Elliot’s brother thinks very highly of him 🙂 Congratulations on your new arrival, Mike and Kristi!

Meet Evie, short for Evelyn, my current record holder for longest newborn session 🙂 This little cutie was too excited about her session that she couldn’t and wouldn’t sleep. Well, it might have had something to do with the rather sizable diaper blowout, bathing her momma in spit-up and then needing to eat, but once she got it all out of her system (sorry for the pun), Evie finally took a nap. And once she was down, she was quite the angel! Her parents were good sports about all the challenges and made it through just fine, if not a little cleaner than when they started 😉

While Evie slept, we made some beautiful portraits. And despite the record she set, it was a great shoot and I had a good time talking and hanging with her parents, both wonderful people. Enjoy!
